
When your are a caregiver, you might sometimes feel like you’re losing yourself. That’s so understandable because you focus all your attention on the person you care for. Writing gives you the possibility of turning that attention on to yourself (even if it is for a few minutes) and discover what is important to you.
During this writing programme we will meet 3 times (approx. once a month, 2 hours each). This can be 1:1 or in a small group of caregivers. In between sessions, you will receive inspiring writing exercises to continue writing at home.
After these 3 days, you will go through life a bit lighter, it gives you renewed energy and strength, which has a direct positive effect on caregiving.
We will recall beautiful, precious memories, we will focus on the caring itself and what it means to you. You’ll learn to find words for (conflicting) feelings and underlying needs. You will also look beyond the caregiving. What’s important to you? What makes you happy, gives you energy?
